An interview and tour of the Museum will be arranged as soon as possible.
Persons selected will be referred to an appropriate Supervisor in their area of interest for an additional interview and placement.
What we expect of ALL volunteers:
- Complete a personal Volunteer Education Log within 6 months
- Attend any and all necessary training assigned by your Supervisor
- Uphold a time commitment
- Follow Museum policies and support Museum standards, values, & mission
- Make personal appearance and hygiene a top priority
- Become a member of The High Desert Museum (financial aid available)
- Purchase or borrow and wear a volunteer vest
- Use parking permit for staff parking lot (free)
- Wear your personalized Volunteer Name Tag (free)
- Provide staff proper notification of absence or resignation
- Show respect for all visitors, staff, and other volunteers
- Have a great time and SHARE your experience with those you meet!
