Please join us for a very special evening honoring the Museum and our community! Preview the new exhibit, Capturing Time: Celebrating 35 Years of the High Desert Museum. Enjoy live music, beverage tastings, appetizers, children’s activities and see the Lazinka sawmill in action.
Dr. Tom Connolly, director of archaeological research, and Dr. Dennis Jenkins, archeologist, from The Museum of Natural and Cultural History at the University of Oregon, will explore 15,000 years of High Desert prehistory. Get an insider’s look into research on the Fort Rock sandals, the oldest footwear in the world, which the High Desert Museum has in our collections.
